About me

Hi there!

I am Laurianne, an infant and early childhood sleep coach and owner of Mindfulsleeper.

I am a mom of two little girls, Maelie who is 3.5 years old and Luna who is almost 2 years old.

I became passionate about the science behind infant sleep issues when I had my first daughter. She did not sleep very well throughout her first year of life, so I decided to take a deeper look at sleep patterns in infants and toddlers by undertaking the Baby Sleep Consultant course back in 2020.

Throughout my course I learned many ways to settle a child and also about the different stages they go through as they develop. It taught me that every child is so unique and not one is the same as the other. As I worked with families throughout the duration of my course I could see that by providing support and encouragement was one of the main aspects they needed to feel more confident in implementing new techniques for sleep training their children, ultimately helping them achieve their own personal goals for improving their sleep.

I am 100% for the gentle and holistic sleep approach and therefore always suggest this into my sleep assessment plans. I have witnessed first hand that it works wonders on children and their parents wanting to once again sleep well and grow healthy.

Who do I Work with?

I work with newborns and children up to the age of 5 specializing in age-specific sleep related issues.

I support parents, co-parents, couples and grandparents and design a routine and sleep plan to suit their family lifestyle best.

I can also give guidance to nannies or other family members to help those within your child`s life on improving their sleep routine.
Support and guidance will be provided each step of the way to achieving better sleep for the whole family.

My Passion

Babies, children and helping parents achieve a healthy and happy balance in everyday life is what I am most passionate about. I would love to help you and your family achieve this happy balance by resolving any settling or sleep issues your bubs may have.

When I practiced some gentle sleep strategies with my own daughter, I saw an almost instant change for the better. I found it fascinating that by changing just one or two ways and ideas parents have about their child and their sleep, the ease in which the child settles can be profound. This has further fueled my passion to help parents achieve their sleep goals.

Sleep training is not only for your children, it helps in achieving a happy and healthy family.

We will have a detailed look at the current sleep situation of your child and personalize solutions to meet you and your child`s needs. I will give you advise and guide you on how to improve your little one’s sleep environment, the different settling strategies and appropriate awake windows.

My Background

My name is Laurianne and I am a mom of 2 girls ( Maelie and Luna) .

I worked as a registered Nurse for several years and then moved on being a stay at home mom to look after my daughters.

I decided to become a sleep coach as my eldest was a terrible sleeper and it made me realize I wanted to help families out who had similar issues.

I wanted to follow her lead rather then having a strict routine. After she turned 1 year (I know it took me forever) I decided I needed to make changes to her sleep routine as she was unsettled, not sleeping through the night and being grumpy most days. It did affect the well being of  our little family being so sleep deprived so decided to do some research on how to help children to have better sleep patterns and age appropriate routines.

I became a certified sleep consultant in February 2021.
